ABOUT ME
Hi there, friends! I’m Teresa (Batey) Allen. Welcome to my blog.
East Texas Living is my passion project. It is an opportunity to try new things and to be creative every single day here in beautiful East Texas..
It began with my love of blogging and writing about saving money many years ago, which was one of my very first blogs,. I have always had a passion about supporting my local area and Texas all together, spotlighting local businesses and events for my community. This is where I decided to change what I write about and make it all about Texas . I want to write about the people and places that make local communities unique.
On this blog you will find hidden gems from all over East Texas. That includes upcoming events, restaurant recommendations, places to shop small, and traveling tips from the East Texas area.
My goal is to support the local businesses and events that are the lifeblood of our culture in East Texas, and to visit new places around Texas and experience the local life wherever I go. I am so happy you found this blog, and I hope it helps you take the first few steps into your own new local adventure.
